The 2009 Chosen Ladies Conference was GREAT! Loved the ministry of Aaron & Amanda Crabb, and Darlene Bishop certainly preached a WORD in season! Kelly and the Praise Team and the Conference Choir did an awesome job leading us into the presence of the Lord! And of course, our Youth and Adult Drama Teams were incredible. Brother Jeromy Branham has met the requirements to receive his Exhorter's License with the Church of God. We set him forth last Wednesday evening.

Michael & Tessa Moody, along with Briana & Christopher, joined the church on Sunday, August 16th. Michael was baptized following the service.

Our Back-to-School Prayer Service on Sunday evening, August 9th, was great! We had several babies, young children, teenagers and college students who were in attendance and we prayed a prayer of consecration and dedication over them all. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

In this day and age, it is so important that we recognize the value of family! We must cherish and protect what God has entrusted to us.This coming Sunday, August 9th, will be “Family Sunday” at Watts Bar Church of God. On Sunday morning, Pastor Connie will be preaching especially to families about the importance that ADULTS play in the lives of the children that God has entrusted to us. Then on Sunday evening, we will have a special anointing service. We will be praying a special prayer of consecration and dedication over our students and we will be anointing every STUDENT as they prepare to go back to school. We look forward to seeing you and your family on Sunday.

Girls Weekend Get-Together
WOW! What a great time we had at our "Girls Weekend Get-Together" this past weekend! We laughed .... we ate ..... we ate again .... laughed some more ..... went to bed (for a few minutes) ... got up .... ate again .... laughed .... swam ... ate again ... and laughed some more!! What a GREAT service we had yesterday morning with Nick & Shirley McSpadden! If you missed it, you really MISSED it! Nick preached a great message about MERCY and the Lord ministered to many in the altars. We love Nick and Shirley and their family and it is always a joy to have them with us.

Last night, we enjoyed our Vacation Bible School "Outback Outing!" All the kids who attended VBS were presented with attendance certificates. They also got to sing their songs and do their dramas so that we could all see what they learned. After the service, we had a great time of food and fellowship (surprise, surprise! =). Then, for the highlight of the evening, Carlie Sherlin and Jake Baker won the "points" competition and got to give Jimbo and Lisa a PIE IN THE FACE! (See picture below!! =) It was just a wonderful evening all around!

WOW!!!! BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD!!!

GOD just absolutely "showed up and showed out" in both of our services yesterday. THE PRESENCE of the LORD was in our midst in such a mighty and wonderful way.

Missionary/Evangelists Baron and Theresa Berry were with us for both services. GOD gave them powerful words for ALL of US here at Watts Bar Church of God. The altars were filled in both services!!!! It was awesome!!!! This young man and woman are truly being used of GOD!!!

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!!!! GOD SURELY WAS WITH US THIS PAST SUNDAY AT THE WATTS BAR CHURCH OF GOD IN BOTH OF OUR SERVICES!!!!

Our Worship Pastor, Nathan Pryor, led us to the Throne of God with incredible worship music. The Choir & Praise Team were so anointed!!!

GOD'S PRESENCE and POWER flowed through the services with the altars filled with people crying out to GOD!!!

Our Youth Drama Team blessed our hearts with two great drama productions!!!

I want to encourage ANYONE reading this blog to come and worship with us at the Watts Bar Church of God!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

PRAISE BE UNTO GOD!!!! The LORD certainly made HIS PRESENCE known in both of our services this past Sunday.

On Sunday Morning, we honored our graduates. We had 7 seniors this year. They were presented a very nice Bible and a delicious meal was served to them and to their families immediately following Morning Worship.

Also on Sunday Morning, our Worship Pastor, Nathan Pryor, preached an incredible message. He not only led us in a powerful praise and worship time, but he also preached a dynamic message. It was an awesome service!!

Then Sunday Evening, Dr. Kim Moffett, Professor at Lee University, shared how GOD moved during the trip that she took to Mexico with a group of Lee students along with Jeromy Branham from our church and our Missionary Evangelist Nick McSpadden and several others. We were honored just to be part of this wonderful "move of God" in Mexico.

After that, our Youth Pastors, Jeff and Wendy Daggett, ministered. Their hearts are truly "set on GOD" and the things of God and ministering to the Youth. The Youth ministered one music drama and did awesome!

Both services were great!!!! A very special THANKS to those who worked so hard in the kitchen Sunday making sure an incredible meal was prepared for our graduates and their families!!!!

It is hard to believe that the month of May is absolutely almost gone! This Sunday will be MAY 31!!!!!

GOD was so GOOD to us last Sunday! We had such a powerful tribute to our veterans on that Memorial Week-End! Then, Sunday Evening, we were blessed by some very good singing by two (2) groups, "Beyond Calvary" and "The Caddle Family." The Presence of the Lord was so powerful in both services this past Sunday!

This coming Sunday I KNOW that GOD is going to be with us once again at Watts Bar Church of God!!! I want to encourage YOU to join us Sunday Morning (10:00 a.m.-Sunday School & 11:00 a.m. for Worship)and Sunday Evening at 6:30 p.m.!!!!

WOW!!!! What an incredible week-end GOD gave us at Watts Bar Church of God!! Both services this past Sunday were awesome!!! GOD certainly did "show up and show out!!" But, doesn't HE always?!?!!!

Worship Pastor, Nathan Pryor, the Praise Team and Choir just led us right into the presence of our MOST HIGH GOD!!!! Truly, the SPIRIT of GOD was in this place!

Pastor Connie ministered on "But If Not" and shared right from her heart a lot of the "battle" that she and her husband fought with his brain cancer. She let us KNOW that GOD is STILL GOD even when HE doesn't do things just exactly like we think they are suppose to be done. HE IS GOD and HE IS OH SO FAITHFUL to "His Children."

Then, Sunday Evening, a young minister of the Church, Gary Keith, preached a powerful WORD from the LORD. Once again, the altars were filled. WHAT A WONDERFUL LORD WE HAVE!!!

Last but certainly NOT least, Pastor Connie wants to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to ALL of those who worked so hard this past week-end to make our "Strawberry Festival Booth" a success. There are not enough words to tell ALL of YOU how much your "labor of love" was appreciated. THANK YOU and MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU!!

PRAISE OUR GREAT GOD!!! GOD was certainly in the "HOUSE" this past Sunday as Pastor Connie Goins preached a message entitled either "Declaring Deliverance" or "Living Loose." There were so many that came forward for the altar service as the BONDAGES they were dealing with came off and they were LOOSED by HIS MIGHTY POWER!!!

MY HOW GOD BLESSED US THIS PAST WEEK-END!!!! I am still rejoicing over all that our GREAT GOD did in both services this past Sunday!!

Evangelist/Missionary David Copeland preached the WORD under a mighty anointing of the Holy Ghost. The altar services were awesome!!! So many needs were met - So many lives changed!!!!! PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LIVING GOD!!!!

PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LORD FOREVER AND EVER!!!! HE REIGNS.

Yes, it was a RAINY day yesterday, Sunday 19th., but the SPIRIT of GOD was "reigning" in our midst also!!!! TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!

It is always a little difficult after a Holiday - even Easter - to keep the momentum going......but GOD just moved into both of our services and all I can say is THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD WAS HERE AND I BELIEVE THAT HE WILL BE WITH US IN EVERY SERVE IF WE WILL JUST ALLOW HIM TO BE!!!! WOW - WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE SERVE!!!

Last evening, HE just "showed up and showed out" in an incredible way. So much so that we are having a PRAISE CELEBRATION this evening, Monday, April 20th. Our Worship Pastor, Nathan Pryor, will not only be leading us is Praise and Worship, but he will be ministering the WORD to us. I am so excited!!!!!

I don't know if we will continue the rest of the week, but I will put that in the blog tomorrow if we are.

This coming Sunday, April 26th., EVANGELIST/MISSIONARY DAVID COPELAND, will be with us in both the a.m. and p.m. services. He is an anointed Minister of the Gospel. I KNOW that GOD is going to do great things as Brother David ministers. YOU are invited to join us Sunday Morning at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday Evening at 6:30 p.m.

PRAISE GOD for an incredible "EXTREME EASTER WEEK-END" at Watts Bar Church of God!!! TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!

In spite of stormy weather (tornado warnings), our Good Friday Service was a tremendous success!!!! The Spirit of God was so precious and so powerful in that service. You could feel HIS SWEET PRESENCE.

On Saturday morning, we had a record number of "workers" (ministers) come out to our "Resurrection Breakfast." Our Cooks did an amazing job!!! After Breakfast, we divided in "Teams." There were those who stayed at the Church to clean and set up for Easter Sunday Services while the others went to prepare for the Children at our annual "Egg-Stravaganza."

We had two (2) Bounce Houses set up for the kids to enjoy. Our Children's Church Choir and Drama Team did an incredible job of ministering. Of course, the delicious smell of buttery popcorn filled the air (yum!yum!). It didn't take any time for ALL the KIDS to find the more than 5000 eggs that were hidded. Despite very cool temperatures, EVERYONE had a fantastic day!!! This was all done under the direction of our Children's Pastors, Jim and Lisa Rose, and their fine team.

Easter Sunday was absolutely beautiful!!!! We had well over 300 in attendence. The Choir and Praise Team under the direction of Worship Pastor Nathan Pryor were awesome!!! Our Drama Teams ministered under a mighty anointing of the Holy Ghost. Pastor Connie ministered an Illustrated Message with Drama Members, Choir and Praise Team all ministering together under that very special anointing that can only come from HIM. It was a WONDERFUL DAY!!! There were souls born into the Kingdom of God and Heaven rejoiced (and so did we)!!!

PRAISE GOD FOR THE RESURRECTION!!!! HE'S ALIVE!!!!

We are now in preparation for this Sunday Morning, April 19th. GOD is going to be here with us and we invite YOU to come and join us!!!!

Extreme Easter Weekend

WOW!!!! EXTREME EASTER WEEK-END is going to be so EXCITING!!!!!

On GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 10, at 7:00 p.m., there is going to be an incredibly anointed service with special music and drama depicting the last days of Jesus Christ and of course, His glorious Resurrection. We are expecting GOD to minister to many people at this service.

On SATURDAY, APRIL 11, there is a SPECIAL DAY planned for the FAMILY - especially, the CHILDREN at our MINISTRY CENTER located on Hwy. 58 (the old Ten Mile School). Activities, which will include two (2) Bounce Houses, will begin at 12:30 p.m. The GIANT EGG HUNT will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. There are going to be LOTS of games and prizes.

Then, of course, EASTER SUNDAY, April 12th., here at WATTS BAR CHURCH OF GOD is always such an awesome, incredible time!!! At the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service, our Choir and Drama Teams will be ministering once again as Pastor Connie Goins preaches an Illustrated Message.
